Kitajima leads Japan contingent for Asian Games
The Japan Swimming Federation said on Friday that Olympic breaststroke champion Kosuke Kitajima is among a handful of top athletes chosen to take part in the Asian Games in Guangzhou, China, this November.
Kitajima, who completed a golden double in the men's 100 and 200 at the Pan Pacific Swimming Championships last month, is among 29 swimmers selected along with Junya Koga and Ryosuke Irie in the backstroke competitions.
