Olympic hero Ueno returns to softball squad

Yukiko Ueno, who led Japan to its first Olympic softball gold in Beijing two years ago, is on a list of 15 players released Friday by the Japan Softball Association for the Asian Games in Guangzhou, China, this November.
The hard-throwing right-hander will represent Japan for the first time in about two years after making herself unavailable to spend time obtaining a qualification to coach in the future.
